In this technical report, we present a training-free framework for audio-guided video object segmentation, which integrates Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) with SAM-based segmentation models. We decompose the task into several stages and identify suitable foundation models for each stage. Without introducing additional model training or task-specific fine-tuning, our approach leverages the strong multimodal reasoning capabilities of MLLMs to model text-visual correspondence and employs SAM-based models for accurate object mask generation. The proposed framework demonstrates the effectiveness of leveraging foundation models for audio-guided video segmentation and achieves competitive performance in the MeViS-Audio Track of the 8th LSVOS Challenge.
Remote sensing visual grounding (RSVG) aims to locate specific objects in high-resolution RS imagery using free-form natural language descriptions. While recent advances in multimodal large language models (MLLMs) show great potential for such open-vocabulary RSVG, their training-free adaptation is hindered by the modality gap between abstract linguistic semantics and fine-grained visual cues. In cluttered RS scenes, this gap inevitably causes severe localization drift. To bridge this gap, we propose Exemplar-driven Calibrated Refinement (ExACT), a novel training-free framework driven by a one-shot visual prompting mechanism to explicitly provide discriminative structural guidance for precise pixel-level localization. Specifically, we propose a Vision Exemplar-based Calibrator (VEC) that extracts fine-grained visual correspondences from the given exemplar to rectify the rough cross-modal priors from frozen MLLMs, effectively suppressing background artifacts and accurately outlining target boundaries. Subsequently, a Structure-Aware Refiner (SAR) employs an iterative merge-and-select clustering strategy to consolidate the calibrated priors into high-quality positive and negative geometric prompts. These prompts then guide the Segment Anything Model (SAM) to achieve precise pixel-level predictions. Extensive experiments confirm the superiority of ExACT over existing training-free and weakly-supervised methods.
Reasoning segmentation aims to segment target objects described by complex language through joint visual-textual reasoning. Existing methods typically rely on either learned semantic tokens to bridge Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) and segmentation models, suffering from difficult cross-modal alignment, or explicit spatial prompts such as bounding boxes, which may lose holistic response semantics. To address these limitations, we propose Attention-Guided and CoT-Enhanced Coarse-to-Refined Reasoning Segmentation, termed CR-Seg, a two-stage framework for coarse-to-refined reasoning segmentation. Specifically, we design an Extract Attention Maps and Points (EAP) module to extract attention maps for coarse target localization and select informative points, both of which are fed into SAM for mask refinement. To alleviate reasoning--answer inconsistency, we further introduce Global-to-Local Chain-of-Thought (GLCoT), which guides the model to reason progressively from global scene context to local target details. Extensive experiments on reasoning segmentation benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of CR-Seg.
