We target practical anonymization of Persian customer chats by training a compact NER model from LLM-labeled supervision and selecting the best labeler for deployment. We compare three instruction-tuned LLMs: DeepSeek-V3-0324, GPT-OSS-120B, and Qwen3-235B-A22B-Instruct-2507, to produce span annotations under a shared JSON protocol, yielding four corpora (OSS_ZeroShot, Qwen_ZeroShot, Qwen_FewShot, DeepSeek_FewShot). A MatinaRoberta-based token-classifier is trained per corpus and evaluated with token-level Precision/Recall/F1 (overall and per-class). We also report Label Coverage Recall (LCR), the proportion of gold non-O tokens predicted as non-O, and quantify cross-labeler behavior via a token-level Venn on test annotations. Finally, we contrast test-set annotation latency of the LLMs on H200 nodes with the trained NER's test-time labeling on a single RTX 3090. Results show that supervision from OSS_ZeroShot yields the strongest macro-F1 and LCR, while the resulting NER labels an entire 40K-message test set in approximately 2 minutes on one consumer GPU. This establishes a practical path to high-quality, low-cost anonymization for Persian industrial data.

Persian (Farsi) is often described as a low-resource language in natural language processing, but that label collapses distinct shortages into a single category. This paper argues that Persian is more precisely described as annotation-scarce, provided that the term is understood as a property of its NLP resource ecology rather than an intrinsic property of the language. The review covers 34 representative Persian text resources available by July 2026 and adds three quantitative cross-checks. First, independent web measurements place Persian among roughly the twenty most visible content languages: W3Techs reports Persian on about 0.9% of websites with a known content language, while Common Crawl CC-MAIN-2026-30 identifies Persian as the primary language of 0.7039% of HTML pages. Second, a selective speech review shows a long resource trajectory from FARSDAT to recent corpora containing hundreds or thousands of hours of speech. Third, a matched Persian-English comparison normalizes task-specific annotation volumes by relative Common Crawl web presence. The resulting ratios vary sharply: Persian syntax and news NER are comparatively dense, whereas natural-language inference falls below the web-proportional baseline. The evidence therefore does not support a simple claim that Persian is globally deficient in labeled volume. Instead, annotation scarcity is expressed through uneven task and domain coverage, incompatible schemes, access and documentation friction, and limited supervision for specialist domains, preference data, and varieties beyond standard Iranian Persian.

Transforming a dense, abstract proverb into an engaging and morally faithful narrative requires deep cultural understanding and robust semantic grounding. We frame this problem as a \emph{constrained semantic decompression} task and study proverb-conditioned story generation as a testbed for abstraction-to-realization in large language models (LLMs). Focusing on Persian, we introduce the Proverb Aligned Narrative Dataset (PAND), pairing proverbs with human-written stories and explicit meanings. By a hybrid evaluation framework that combines human-calibrated LLM-as-a-Judge with structural metrics, we analyze model behavior across multiple prompting regimes. Our findings reveal a persistent \emph{decompression gap}: current LLMs often achieve strong surface-level fluency while failing to faithfully instantiate the underlying moral and causal structure encoded in proverbs. We further show that explicit reasoning and iterative refinement can partially mitigate these failures, suggesting that many decompression errors arise from difficulties in translating abstract meaning into narrative form rather than a complete lack of relevant knowledge. Our proposed task naturally extends to other forms of compressed cultural knowledge.
